Updating the Software

Updates to AWAM occur when the DAT-MAIL software is updated. However, before attempting to install an update to the DAT-MAIL software on the server or a stand-alone, confirm the following:

• DAT-MAIL is not running on the server or any workstations.

• The AWAM Control Center should not be open or minimized.

• The Scheduler service should not be running.

• The AWAM FM application should be closed.

• This applies to the server or a stand-alone only. In a server-with-workstation environment, the auto-update of DAT-MAIL on workstations is not affected if the AWAM service is running.
