Purpose

The following pages provide use instructions for the Priority Mail Open and Distribute (PMOD) module accessible from within DAT-MAIL.

Introduction

The PMOD module allows mailers to ship small quantities of mail to USPS entry facilities to control in-home delivery dates better and receive entry discounts. Also, if you have issues with delivery to remote USPS facilities in Alaska, Hawaii, etc., this is a way to reduce the time it takes to deliver the mail.

In addition, Window Book offers both Priority or Priority Express mail. Using the PMOD Module is simple and easy, whether making PMOD shipments via a Mail.dat or manually. You can create shipment preparation profiles to use over and over again, as needed, thereby speeding up the shipment creation process. Rates are returned in seconds and can be viewed and managed for each shipment. Reports are available for both you and your customers.

Requirements

  • Registration key that includes the PMOD module.

  • Installation done by Professional Services.

  • Choosing a funding option - EasyPost, International Bridge, or your own e-VS account.

We have added Pitney Bowes to our list of providers for PMOD, this version we believe will occur in late March 2022. Until this time, the current version of DAT-MAIL 21.22.7.18, released on 01/04/2022, supports EasyPost and International Bridge.
