TrueAddress®(TA) OnPrem - Linux Installation Guide

Purpose

The purpose of this document is to provide installation instructions for Window Book’s on-prem version of TA on a Linux operating system.

Use instructions are provided in the TrueAddress®(TA) - OnPrem User Guide.

Product-Specific Requirements for Use

  • 64-bit system (TA will not run on 32-bit systems).

  • Memory: 16-GB preferred.

  • Number of cores and processor speeds is up to the Client; however, performance will relate directly to what is allocated. TA allows up to 127 threads, so even a server with many logical processors can be kept busy.

  • The TA footprint is 4-GB.

  • On the server or computer where TA is being installed, version 2.2.6 of libc (C runtime support) and version 3.4.22 of libstdc++ (C++ runtime support) must be installed. The installation script will check the versions of these libraries and will warn if either is not current enough, providing the option to copy newer libraries to the ‘TrueAddress’ directory. It is preferred to have a Client’s System Admin update the libraries before running the installation script; however, it is not necessary.

  • A registration file is required to be able to run TA once it is installed. The registration file is provided by Window Book.

  • Username and password for sftp.trueaddress.net provided by Window Book.

  • An SSH Key (i.e. “.rsa” file) is required to be able to run TA once it is installed. The .rsa file is provided by Window Book.

  • Creation/editing of XML files requires XML editing software. Notepad++ is a free choice.

  • A basic knowledge of XML file creation is necessary.
