Introduction

DAT-MAIL is a post-pre-sort software that allows mailers to easily edit their Mail.dat files and comply with USPS Full Service and Seamless Acceptance requirements. Therefore, no matter where you are in participating in USPS programs from not yet Full Service to Full Service, eInduction and Seamless Parallel to Seamless Acceptance, DAT-MAIL has the documentation and tracking capabilities available to comply with USPS requirements.

With the addition of the PostalWeb suite, our Clients can submit files to the MDR Client, and DAT-MAIL can ingest their receipt files to keep track of the PostalOne! status of a job. And when a job fails to upload to PostalOne! you can fix a job in PostalWeb Desktop Dashboard, and when the file successfully uploads, automatically update DAT-MAIL with the changes. Or DAT-MAIL can be utilized to make those changes.

DAT-MAIL’s validations allow mailers to avoid many of the causes of failures; avoid by/for errors; incorrect container dates, and facility/permit information before uploading to PostalOne!. Plus, DAT-MAIL can be set to track all barcodes. So, as a Mail.dat is imported, if the barcodes are duplicates of another job, a user can immediately see a flag that something is wrong and view the validation log to find out that there are duplicate barcodes at the container and piece level.

As DAT-MAIL registers the Intelligent Mail piece barcodes, the Informed Visibility Mail Tracking and Reporting (IV-MTR) application can be utilized to alert mailers of undocumented pieces daily or at a time frame best suited for each Client.
