AWAM - Turn On Overwrite for Trays/Pallets, Generate/Replace Barcodes
The following is an example of an import profile that turns on the overwrite for trays/pallets, so barcodes are generated and replaced in the CSM file. It assumes the following global settings have been applied in DAT-MAIL’s Setup screen (see image below).
To create an import profile that turns on the overwrite for trays/pallets, so barcodes are generated and replace what is currently in the CSM file, perform the following:
-
On the server, open DAT-MAIL and launch AWAM. Then, in the Control Center, click Edit profiles.
-
The Browse Profiles screen will display. Click Insert and select New Import Profile.
-
A Profile Will Be Added screen will display. First, name the new import profile (for example, "Overwrite/Generate/Replace Barcodes"). Next, click Browse for the Source Path, navigate to and select a folder to be used specifically for Mail.dat files where the container barcodes will be overwritten(‘\\. . . \wb\mail. dat\AWAMOverwriteBarcodes’). Click OK when finished.
In a server-with-workstations environment, use a UNC pathname for the source folder.
-
Select the Post Processing tab. Next, select the Intelligent Mail Barcode tab to select the Overwrite Pallet Label 24 Char barcodes and Overwrite Tray/Sack Label 24 Char barcodes checkboxes. Click OK when finished.
If you know all these jobs will be produced in the IMB Numbering section, select the Assign or Log at Import radio button.
-
Ensure to activate the profile for use (refer to AWAM - Activating & Deactivating Profiles for more information).
