Packages


Clicking Packages on the left vertical menu displays the Packages screen. This screen displays by default when starting the application. This page provides a general description of the screen and its contents.

The Packages screen displays all the shipments or packages contained in ES in the Packages List. Each line item in the list represents a single package.

Packages - Column Labels

The information provided for each package is as follows:

Reported error or issue

Provides information on whether the package has a deliverable address. If using TrueAddress, it rates the chances of a package being delivered or indicates it is undeliverable. Note: International Bridge, Pitney Bowes and True Address do not validate international addresses. EasyPost validates some countries, but not all.

USPS, UPS, FedEx, or DHL Express

Order No

It can be manually entered, included in an import file, or pulled from an ODBC Data Source.

Batch No

A system-generated number used to keep track of a group of imported packages.

Package ID A system-generated number used to identify each package.

Shipping Date

Even held packages will have a shipping date when purchasing labels; the Number days in advance setting determines the future date.

Weight/lbs

Pricing

If USPS package, whether ‘Commercial Base’ pricing is applicable.

Total Amount

Freight Charge (pickup charge is separate, if applicable, this charge will show in the ‘Scan Form/Pickup’ screen)

International Bridge-specific function to hold packages.

Tracking Number

Tracking number assigned by the selected Provider's API.

Manifest Number

USPS Manifest Number is automatically generated when the Shipment Confirmation Acceptance Notice, PS Form 5830, is printed. Window Book refers to PS 5830 as Scan Form or Manifest. The Scan Form is for Priority Mail and First Class Mail parcels.

Pickup Number

A system-generated number to identify a carrier pickup.

SubCarrier

EasyPost and Pitney Bowes. Note: The carriers USPS, FedEx, DHL Express, or UPS show in the Provider Accounts Settings screen under Sub Account List. EasyPost supports all these carriers, and Pitney supports USPS, FedEx, and UPS.
