Release Held Packages
There are two methods to release a hold.
Release Hold When Labels Already Purchased
Packages on hold must have a tracking number associated with them to be released.
You can select held packages in the Packages screen and click Release Hold.
-
To view the packages in held status, click Is Held and mark the desired packages. Then click Release Hold.
-
A Confirm prompt will display. Select the appropriate Shipping Date to be applied to the selected packages and click OK.
For PC Postage, the actual Ship Date must be on the label. For e-VS and ePostage, while there will be no postmark on the label, this allows you to see the exact ship date in the Packages screen, so it will be easier to select them when creating scan forms or arranging pickups.
-
A Process Finished dialog will display, confirming the number of packages selected, the number of packages the shipping date changed, the number of packages released, and the number of errors (if any) reported. Click OK to exit the screen.
Release Hold After Purchasing Labels
-
You can either filter or sort a column, then mark the packages ready to take off hold.
-
After you mark the packages, click Purchase Labels.
-
A Confirm prompt will appear, click OK.
You should not select the Change Shipping Date checkbox. Instead, you set the shipping date when you release the hold, shown below.
-
When ready to ship, filter by clicking Is Held, mark the packages, and select Release Hold.
-
When releasing the hold, this is your only chance to change the Shipping Date. This date will appear on the labels. In the Confirm prompt, change the ship date if not today's date, and click OK.
-
When the Process finished dialog appears, click OK.
-
When ready, change the view to All or filter by the packages' shipping date to the print labels using the Print Labels option.
