With provider accounts set up, now click General to select what will appear in the Create Package screen and what to print on package labels.
Below the print screen is an explanation of each field/section:

If you have an exemption, indicate it here to avoid having to complete customs information.
There are three reference fields tied to the APO/FPO Custom form exemption selection. Depending on the exemption type selected, the first Reference field Location is rubber-stamped with a specific value.
APO/FPO Custom Form Exemption Type |
Reference 'Location 1' Value |
---|---|

“Customs form exempt DMM 703.2.3.8” |
Non-dutiable letters |

If selecting an Exemption Type, the Reference fields Location2 and Location3 can be left blank, or you can choose other reference fields to use.
Reference Fields: When the APO/FPO Customs form exemption is No, you can set three reference fields. The available fields are Order Number, Reference Number, Invoice Number, Package ID, or Notes.
Not all carriers will populate all reference fields on a package label: all three fields will show USPS package labels. UPS package labels, the first two fields will appear. FedEx and DHL Express package labels, the first field will appear.
Pitney Bowes supports two reference fields on labels, and for USPS letters, no fields.
Pitney Bowes Customs form Signature: If shipping Internationally or FPO/DPO/APO, this will save someone from signing all the customs forms manually.
Hold: International Bridge provides a function that allows users to hold packages. Users can set the number of days to be used to hold packages. The default is 14 days. Increase or decrease the number of days, if necessary. The maximum is 30 days. Again, this is only applicable when using International Bridge. See Provider's Payment-Related Detail for more information on what is supported by each provider.
For held packages, the mailing date will not appear on the label. However, shipments can be marked and released with an actual mailing date later.
Origin Post Office ZIP Code: Enter a default zip code - include the plus 4. This zip code should be for the USPS facility where packages are deposited. This setting is required if creating labels.
