Product-Specific Requirements for Use

Current version of TrueAddress (TA) is required to use the functionality documented in this Guide.

Refer to the applicable TA Installation Guide for product-specific requirements.

Product Updates

Window Book will release intermittent software updates of TA in the event enhancements or bug fixes occur. To be notified when these product updates (not data updates) occur, Window Book recommends signing up for Software Update Notifications. This can be performed from the Downloads page on the Window Book website. In addition, any release-specific enhancements made to the product will be documented in Window Book’s “What’s New?” resource.

Product Version Information

The method for identifying the version of TA that is installed on the server or computer differs between operating systems.

Windows Operating System

To discover the version of TA that is installed on a computer or server running Windows, hover the mouse over the “TrueAddress” application file stored in the main ‘TrueAddress’ program directory.

Linux Operating System

To discover the version of TA that is installed on a server running Linux, refer to the “version.txt” file stored in the main ‘TrueAddress’ directory.
