Service Changing User Account

Changing the logon credentials for the AWAM service can only be performed on the server (not from a workstation).

There are two options for changing the existing logon credentials that AWAM uses to run the service: 1) Changing them directly through AWAM, or 2) Using the Windows Services Manager.

Through AWAM

If the logon credentials require changing, you can change them from within the server instance of AWAM (not from a workstation instance).

1. From the AWAM Control Center screen, select File and Setup.
   

2. The DAT-MAIL AWAM Setup screen will display. Remove the service by clicking Remove Service.
   

3. A Warning dialog will appear. Click Yes.
   

4. Then to reinstall the service, click Install Service.
   

5. The DAT-MAIL AWAM Log On Info screen will display. Enter the Service Log On credentials as directed in Installing the Service, beginning with step 3.
