Product Specific Requirements

This section provides the specific requirement information for individual Window Book, Inc. products when requirements fall outside the general prerequisites (such as hardware, system, operating systems, etc.) documented in this Guide. For example, this can happen when the release date precludes it from working on older software or hardware that Window Book still supports for existing or legacy products.

Clients should continue to defer to the notations, installation requirements, and end-of-life support dates documented elsewhere in this Guide regarding the individual components listed for each product below.

Enterprise Shipper (ES)

  • 64-bit operating system

  • Windows 10 Pro

  • Windows Server 2016 and 2019

  • SQL Server Express: 2016, 2017, and 2019 (SQL Server Standard or Enterprise can also be used if installed/run on a separate server)

  • RAM: 8-GB (minimum); 16-GB (preferred)

TrueAddress (TA)

Windows

  • Windows 10 (Pro only) or Windows Server 2012 R2 (or newer - 2016 is the recommended platform)

  • 64-bit systems only

  • Memory: 16-GB preferred

  • The number of cores per CPU is up to the Client; however, allocated cores directly impact performance. TA allows up to 127 threads, so even a server with many logical processors can be kept busy.

  • The TA footprint is 4-GB

  • Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 and 2017 runtimes (64-bit only) on the server or computer before installing TA. The TA installer wizard will automatically install these two prerequisites if the Client so chooses. Of course, the Client can opt-out of having the wizard automatically install the prerequisites. If so, they will need to install them manually before running the TA installation wizard.

Linux

  • Memory: 16-GB preferred

  • 64-bit systems only

  • The number of cores per CPU is up to the Client; however, allocated cores directly impact performance. TA allows up to 127 threads, so even a server with many logical processors can be kept busy.

  • The TA footprint is 4-GB

  • On the server or computer where you plan to install TA, install version 2.2.6 of libc (c runtime support) and version 3.4.22 of libstdc++ (C++ runtime support). The installation script will check the versions of these libraries and will warn if either is not current enough, providing the option to copy newer libraries to the TA directory. You can have a System Admin update the libraries before running the installation script, but it is not necessary.
