Installation

Current version of TrueAddress (TA) is required to use the steps documented in this Guide.

The installation of TA requires the installation of the product, the product registration, and the transfer of CASS and EWS (Early Warning System) data. The product registration requires a Client-specific ‘registration.txt’ file, which is provided by Window Book.

The data transfers require the use of an SFTP client. Any SFTP client can be used; however, for the purpose of this document, Window Book uses WinSCP (WinSCP is a free SFTP file transfer client). Download and installation instructions for WinSCP can be found on Appendix 1 - Installing WinSCP page.

The installation of TA is completed using an installer wizard. The wizard will create a ‘WB’ directory on the server or computer, with a ‘TrueAddress’ sub-directory. If a ‘WB’ directory already exists on the server or computer (when other Window Book products are already installed), the installation wizard will use that same ‘WB’ directory to install TA.
